Our second UKOM Presents event is ‘Perspectives on Standards, Principles and Ethics’. It’s all about standards, principles and ethics – things we don’t talk about enough but, let’s face it, who in advertising doesn’t wrestle with questions of ethics from time to time?

What to expect?

  • Seven stars of our industry will each deliver 5-minute insights on our theme. No selling from the stage, just provocative discussion with some of the industry’s finest. When did they stand up for their principles and what was the outcome, the learning for their career?
  • A whistle-stop update on UKOM’s developments and challenges
  • A chance to mix with colleagues from agencies, media owners and UKOM stakeholders, from the AOP, IAB, IPA and ISBA
  • A gorgeous afternoon tea on arrival and drinks afterwards

Our speakers:

Neville Thurlbeck

Our opening speaker is the former News of the World journalist who kept a low profile when pursuing scoops but found himself in the spotlight when the phone-hacking scandal was exposed by the Guardian in 2009.

Next, a stellar line-up of industry stars will offer short, sharp perspectives on our theme:
