Having first launched in 2009 in response to cross-industry demand for consistent, transparent online audience measurement, the United Kingdom Online Measurement Co (UKOM) has grown from strength to strength. With the recent renewal of a long-term contract with research partner comScore and with the rapidly growing scale and scope of multi-platform measurement ahead, UKOM is announcing the appointment of Ian Dowds as its first CEO.
Ian Dowds arrives at UKOM with 25 years of experience in the media marketplace taking a broad perspective from senior management and strategic roles spanning TV, agency, print and digital. With senior and leadership roles at ITV, MindShare, Turner, Specific Media, Trinity Mirror and InMobi, Ian brings relatively unique experience of the power and value of traditional and broadcast marketing alongside the capabilities of digital and data to drive efficiency and value in a multi and cross-platform market.
Ian Dowds will ensure that UKOM remains at the heart of digital and mobile media planning and buying, utilising the very best and most robust of traditional panel based data alongside that from the ever-evolving world of systems and devices both of which are required to deliver what is needed to advertisers, agencies and publishers for a true standard measure of advertising audience planning and delivery.
