In January, an OnlyFans content creator claimed to have broken a world record by sleeping with over a thousand men in 12 hours.

In addition to making people like Bonnie Blue famous, the subscription service has also provided a lucrative outlet for celebrities. Lily Allen claimed she made money sharing pictures of her feet, and the website is also popular with fitness fanatics who share their perfectly sculpted abs. So how popular is the OnlyFans website in the UK and who uses it?

If stunts are designed to get attention, Blue has certainly succeeded in doing just that. UKOM-endorsed data from Ipsos iris shows that in January 2025, the month of the stunt, 2.1m or 4.4 % of the UK online population visited the website. This was a 63% increase versus January 2024, or an additional 817K people. In January, the audience was overwhelmingly male – reach among men was 8.4% compared to only 0.5% for women meaning that males comprised 94% of the audience. Age wise, the audience is young – reach is highest among 25-34s (9.1%) and lowest among 55+ (1%). Combining age and gender, males aged 25-34 are most likely to visit OnlyFans with 1 in 6 (16.9%) using the website in January 2025.

Unsurprisingly the audience is more likely to be single than the total 18+ internet population (50% v 42%) but that does mean that half are married or living with a partner. Attitudinally, they are more likely than average to agree that ‘money is the best measure of success’ so whether viewers are exploring a new career path (!), looking at tips on how to hone the perfect physique or just viewing adult content for pleasure, UKOM will never know….
