In 2023, UKOM launched a quarterly awards scheme to recognise and
celebrate UK agency and publisher team members who use UKOM-endorsed
Ipsos iris data in their work. Here’s a roundup of our winners so far.

Q3 2024

This quarter’s awards recognise young industry stars who are using Ipsos iris data within two very different environments: Kai Radcliffe, Display Partner at Carat UK, worked across a range of Dentsu clients to deliver insight on competitors and drive strategic online display investment. Sumita Deb, Senior Online Audience Analyst at Ofcom, employed Ipsos iris data to analyse the UK population’s behaviour online for Ofcom’s landmark annual Online Nation Report.

Q2 2024

The publisher award this quarter went to Rebecca Slack, Insight & Measurement Controller at Sky Media, for her ongoing, smart use of Ipsos iris data to highlight the extended reach and value of Sky’s distributed video content. Imogen Power, Insight Manager at national news publishers marketing body, Newsworks, received an Ace award for championing Ipsos iris data to highlight the value of quality news media in the UK.

Q1 2024

Sammie Eales, Head of Commercial Audience Data at Mail Metro Media, scooped the sole prize awarded in Q1 2024. Sammie has been a champion of Ipsos iris since its launch, using the data to better understand and enhance advertising performance across retail, banking and luxury audiences across the Mail Metro portfolio.

Q4 2023

Anna McIvor of Havas won the agency category and the Guardian’s Andy Cross took home the publisher prize in Q4 2023. Insight Manager Andy used Ipsos iris data around the Women’s World Cup to support the Guardian’s commercial and editorial teams. Anna, Biddable Business Director at Havas Media London, shone for using iris data to drive actionable insight for investment in X and other social media platforms across a range of clients.

Q3 2023

Goodstuff and News UK were the winners at the second Ace Awards, represented by Ella Basra, Digital Director of Goodstuff, and Sherbin Shamsuddin, Insights Manager at News UK. Sherbin showed exemplary use of the full range of Ipsos iris data for internal reporting of online performance at granular level. Ella’s entry identified the best social media platform for drinks brand Fever Tree to invest online budget to hit 45+ connoisseurs.

Q2 2023

Our inaugural Ace awards winners were Zita Wong of The Evening Standard and Charlie Hamer from Goodstuff. Zita used Acorn and Fresco segments to demonstrate how a quality publisher can evidence value in unique audiences and secure revenue on the back of it. Charlie's use of Top Towns & Cities data for Checkatrade showed our judges how Ipsos iris data can be used simply and effectively and on an ongoing basis for a client.
